CONCEPT AND VISION

A runway that goes beyond fashion.
This project envisions a dynamic runway space that not only serves as a platform for walking but also enhances the performance and essence of the collection being showcased.

Inspired by the work of Berau Betak and Iris Van Herpen’s Roots collection, the proposal merges fashion, technology, and spatial design to create an immersive haute couture experience. The key objectives?:

  • Design a performative space that highlights both the collection and the identity of the site.

  • Draw the audience’s focus to the interaction between body, movement, and garment.

  • Create an exclusive, one-of-a-kind show tailored to Iris Van Herpen’s vision.

The Essence:
This is not just a space for a fashion show—it's a scenographic structure that transforms the runway into an experience. With organic forms and subtle technology, the architecture responds to the rhythm of the show, merging fashion, art, and design.
